• 1998,99 Laptop Competition - Awarded the use of a laptop for one year for classroom use. Renewed for a second year in 1999. This was a University-wide competition requiring the submission of a proposal.

• Distance Learning: Designed WebCT modules for CSIS 1900: Computer Programming I, CSIS 2950: Computer Programming II, and CSIS 4650: Computer Graphics. Taught distance courses in Internet Programming Fundamentals, and the above courses.

Projects Completed:

• 2004 School website and transcript facility for Rehoboth Academy. System is written in PHP with MySQL.
• 2001 HiRISC computer system simulator and assembler package.
• 1997 High-quality, long-period random number generator for three different companies, Island Casino, Telecommunication’s Information Services Systems N.V, and Ft. Lauderdale Network. These projects required large-period random number generators and involved resolution of various installation issues in various languages and platforms.
• 1994 Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co, Research Division - Design and implementation of a database for competitor's tire information.
• 1993 The Quizzing Assistant Series - Software to support Akron Youthquake's International Bible Quizzing program. Includes The ScoreKeeper's Assistant, The Question Writer's Assistant, and The Question Printer’s Assistant. Akron Youthquake.
• 1992 The QuizMaster's Assistant - micro-processor controlled unit that performs timing and "who was first" detection tasks during Bible quizzing. Software and hardware design and implementation. Akron Youthquake.
• 1989 Bingo Card Number Generator - A program to generate 32,000 random bingo cards satisfying certain parameters with the ability to reconstruct any card from a 5 digit number using limited memory. Minor Assembly and Design.
• 1986 Invoice, Inventory Control, Accounting package. Custom software for ETS Voice/Data.
• 1984 Hard Drive Menu System - Custom software for ETS Voice/Data
• 1984 Nurse Call Alarm Monitor System - Custom software to monitor bedside alarms in a nursing home and display related information on monitors at nurse stations. ETS Voice/Data.
• 1984 PBX Cost Call Accounting System - Custom software to gather data from a PBX, cost calls and produce bills for customer accounts. ETS Voice/Data.

• April 1999 External Evaluator for Indiana University of Pennsylvania Computer Science Department. I was invited to visit the campus and interview faculty, students, and administrators to assess the effectiveness and needs of the department, and make recommendations for improvement. This involved a review of physical facilities, faculty expertise and workload, degree programs and course content, and student perceptions of the department.

Completed projects to support Bible Quizzing outreach: The QuizMaster's Assistant - micro-processor controlled unit that performs timing and "who was first" detection tasks during Bible quizzing.
