116 teams drawn from 67 colleges and universities throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, eastern Ontario, and Indiana attempted to solve 8 problems in 5 hours. Teams were spread across four regional centers

Two teams represented the University of Akron this year.
Results:
Team 1 13th place (This team placed 2nd at the Youngstown site where there were 32 teams from 20 schools!)
Team 2 79th place
