Programmer Analyst I

 

Job Description:
As a Programmer Analyst with Diebold, you will have the responsibility to assist in the analysis, design, development, implementation, training and overall support of applications. You will be expected to contribute to user support of enterprise applications and tools that support those applications. In this role, you must be able to understand and follow system test scripts to verify that the new integrated system (Oracle application, third-party bolt-on applications, and legacy applications) is robust, meets business needs globally, and is in accordance with corporate directives. In addition, you will be responsible for evaluating new tools and third-party applications, as well as provide recommendations to management regarding their usefulness.

Your essential functions will include:

    • Creating technical and architecture designs.
    • Designing data conversion programs that migrate data from legacy applications to the Oracle application.
    • Defining manual data conversion procedures where necessary.
    • Creating system test scripts and conducting system testing of new/modified application modules
    • Creating application setups and configurations
    • Managing Technical Assistance Reports (TARs) and escalating with Oracle as needed for resolution
    • Evaluating new tools for incorporation into the design process
    • Evaluating third-party products for integration with Oracle EBS in lieu of making code changes to standard Oracle objects.
    • Researching Oracle patching requirements and assessing impact to common global objectives
    • Providing status updates as directed by manager or team lead.

 

Qualifications:

    • Must have a BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • Must have 2+ years experience with Oracle EBS Applications at version 11.5.8 or higher with prior development, design, and module configuration setup experience.
    • Must have effective interpersonal skills and proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Willingness to intermittently travel, both US and international
