Awarded an NSF $5,000 REU Supplemental grant. This is being used to fund an undergraduate student, Brian Kovacs, over the summer for work on the srcML platform

Awarded a three-year ~$200K grant from the National Science Foundation
(NSF). The CISE CRI award is
entitled Enhancing the srcML Infrastructure: A Mixed-Language
Exploration, Analysis, and Manipulation Framework to Support Software
Evolution CNS 13-05217 starting July 1, 2013. This work involves
the development of parsing technology and software analysis tools for
use by both the research community and industry practitioners. For more

Awarded the Most Influential Paper (MIP) at the
2013 21st IEEE International Conference on Program
Comprehension (ICPC'13) May 20-21 in San Francisco, California.
This award is given
to the paper from the conference 10 years ago, in this case from the 11th
International Workshop on Program Comprehension (IWPC 2003), (then
held in
Portland, Oregon, May10-11 2003), for the paper “An XML-Based
Lightweight C++ Fact Extractor”, by Michael L. Collard, Huzefa
H. Kagdi, and Jonathan I. Maletic. Program and Steering Committee
members selected this paper, through an anonymous ballot, from all those published at IWPC 2003.
A 90 minute, single-track session was given to an invited talk (slides)
on the paper by Dr. Michael Collard and Dr. Jonathan Maletic. Slides
are also available of the presentation of the award, including the
process and motivation for this award.
